Win a real treasure of a movie soundtrack; Miles Ahead

Thanks to Sony, we have three copies of the soundtrack to Miles Ahead for you. It features dialogue as spoken by Cheadle in his best, rasping Miles voice, as well as tracks the follow the trumpet god’s musical progression, from the classic be bop of the title track and Seven Steps To Heaven, to the more progressive Nefertiti and Frelon Brun (the latter off one of my favourite Miles recordings, Filles de Kilimanjaro) and the avant-garde beats of Black Satin and Back Seat Betty.

It’s also got a couple of tracks by today’s innovator Robert Glasper, who contributed to the movie’s score and formed a   supergroup of ex-Miles sidemen such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock along with bassist Esperanza Spalding and the man asked to be Miles’ trumpet impersonator Keyon Harrold….

It’s a real treasure of a movie soundtrack…
