Jupiter’s Moon ★★★★☆

I liked this crazy Hungarian movie by Kornel Mundruczo. It’s a flashy, chase movie about a black market Doctor using a fugitive Syrian refugee for money when he discovers the kid can levitate.

Yeah, it’s weird but it never lets up for a moment and has great moments and dashes about. In style, at least, it reminded me of Son of Saul with its snaking sinewy shots of chaotic migrant camps and its elements of faith. There’s a mix of superhero myth and Jesus complex going on, but it’s an out-there movie with demented pace and action.
