Like the losing England team, one’s supposed to be very nice about the Incredibles 2. But it’s only OK, not really good enough in the end.
I didn’t laugh much, I didn’t find it cute, I didn’t find it a radical overhaul of Disney tradition by having the male hero become a stay at home Dad. It is scripted to within an inch of its life, slick in that impermeable Pixar way and silly enough to keep children entertained.
The action sequences are inventive and well drawn and there are some nice sight gags but no plot worth recounting and no villain worth remembering. Should you go and see this if you’re an adult without a child to hand? Absolutely not.
