I guess it should come from Baby Driver, which has 43 tracks on its official soundtrack and plenty more occurring incidentally. So I’m going for one that didn’t make Edgar Wright’s final album release. It’s by Barbara Lewis, the 60s soul singer who is currently enjoying a bit of cinema moment. Baby I’m Yours is gorgeous and soars beautifully in Baby Driver when it plays in a diner. Here she is singing it on American TV back in 1965. Curiously, or perhaps entirely on purpose, Barbara’s Hello Stranger also plays in the magnificent diner scene in Moonlight, and was my Tune of the Week selection twice last year. So there’s no reason not to enjoy her and her beautiful voice once again.
